ABOUT ME

I love just about eveything tech.
I tend to jump in and research just about everything i can. That usually leads me to my next passion.
The mind is an interesting thing;
A quick note about myself:
I'm 41 years old and have had a lot of experience with various programming languages over the years. Although I might be rusty with some of them, I started out with BASIC in DOS before Windows became widely used. I then moved on to C, but it wasn't really my thing. I worked extensively with C++ and various game physics libraries like Havok and Irrlicht. Later, I transitioned to Visual C and Visual Basic. Although these are older technologies, they still have their uses.
After that, I moved on to C# and did some work with Unity and Unreal Engine. A couple of years ago, I started working with Python, which led me to explore machine learning. While I experimented with it in C#, I had trouble coding my own backpropagation at the time. However, now that I'm working in Python, I'm diving into the chatbot system. Recently, I've been coding and training my own transformer models, and I'm experimenting with tiny parameter models that show a lot of promise. However, I still need to learn how to test for memory retention. Although I have a long way to go, I find it to be a fun hobby.
Aside from programming, I've spent some time doing bug bounties, and I still do it occasionally. It's hard to stand out in this field with so many skilled people, but I love it. Cybersecurity is an interesting topic to me, and I'd like to get more involved in CTFs. I've spent a lot of time playing gamified sites like picoCTF, and I find Hackerats.com to be pretty fun and well-made.
Aside from programming, my typical life revolves around being an arcade game technician and everything related to technology. I grew up as the child of a mom-and-pop style repair company, where I started fixing vacuums before I could even see over the counter. Eventually, I moved on to repairing VCRs, and later, gaming systems from the 1990s to the 2000s. I fixed lots of NES consoles, some Sega consoles, plenty of PlayStations and PS2s, a Sega Saturn, and a few original Xboxes.
Recently, I acquired a 3D printer with the intention of printing and selling items. However, I haven't attempted to sell anything yet. It was a challenging hobby to learn, and it probably took me around 80 to 100 hours to understand the intricacies of it; otherwise, your prints won't turn out right.
In summary, I consider myself somewhat of a jack of all trades, with a passion for technology and programming, as well as cyber security. While I am content with my current work, for the right opportunity, I would be open to dividing my time differently.
